Types of Locking Systems
Which investment is right for you?
Whether it's a single-family home, an apartment building, or a commercial property—we design, supply, and install locking systems tailored to your needs. From simple master-key systems to electronic access control.
🔑
A master key system
A front door key that unlocks the garden gate, the garage, the basement door, the apartment door, and the mailbox. It’s ideal for single-family homes or businesses where every employee needs access to all areas.
🏢
A Z System (Central Key System)
Shared Entrances and Access to Private Living Spaces
In an apartment building, each tenant has a key that opens only their apartment, mailbox, and storage unit. However, all tenants can use their apartment key to access the main entrance and the basement.
🔐
A central master key system (ZHS)
A ZHS system works like several Z systems. Tenants’ keys open their apartment doors and provide access to central areas such as the front door and the basement. In addition, there is a master technical key. This allows a property manager or building superintendent, for example, to open all the doors to the building entrances in a housing complex, as well as doors such as those to the boiler room, to which tenants are not supposed to have access.
📡
Electronic Locking System
Transponders, RFID cards, or apps digitally manage access permissions. The system can be expanded at any time, and permissions can be granted or revoked via software.

Frequently asked questions
FAQ on Locking systems
What is a locking system?
A locking system is a system of coordinated locks and keys that enables hierarchical access control. A master key opens all doors, while an individual key opens only the door to which it is assigned.
When is it worth investing in a locking system?
If you have two or more doors that you want to open with a single key, or if you want to grant different access permissions to different people—tenants, property management, cleaning staff.
Can we expand an existing system?
Yes, in most cases. If you know the manufacturer and model series, we can use the authorization card to reorder additional cylinders and keys.
What happens if a key is lost?
With mechanical systems, the cylinder may need to be replaced in the worst-case scenario. With electronic systems, it is sufficient to revoke the authorization via the software.
How long does the planning and delivery take?
After the design phase, we estimate a delivery time of 2–4 weeks for mechanical systems (manufacturer production). Electronic systems may sometimes be available sooner.
Do you also offer maintenance services?
Yes—even after installation, we remain your point of contact for maintenance, replacement keys, upgrades, and repairs.
